My One Of A Kind, Ingenious Idea

Hey guys!! So I have have been writing this book for a while now, and all the ideas keep flowing, until I hit the usual bump of writing block that we all hit every once in awhile.  Most of the other teen writers that I know choose to not write down their ideas, lose those million dollar ideas in three seconds flat, and hit more writer's block bumps than usual.  Is that normal for everyone?? I keep notebook after notebook with me 24/7, so I guess that I've never really thought about losing ideas.  But then again, I also have this skeleton thing, that I think is totally ingenious, but I've been told otherwise.  So my skeleton idea is just where I make box after box on this gigantic piece of paper (I usually end up taping together pieces of paper, until you have one gigantic piece of paper the size of one of the walls in my bedroom and then tape them to the wall).  I thought that it was a one of a kind idea, but apparently it's pretty much the same as storyboarding for a movie or something.  But unlike storyboarding, I don't draw what's going to happen, I write out what's going to happen.  I just write down the main idea of what will happen in each chapter.  So it's a skeleton, because it has the basic structure, but it doesn't have the details, like a skeleton without muscle or skin.  This really helps me out, so hopefully it'll help you out too!!!  Plus, I like how with my skeletons I just write on my walls.. See y'all later, and happy writing!! :)

Revlon Lip Butter!!!

Hey guys!! So I just recently bought my first Revlon Lip Butter, and I can't believe that I hadn't tried it out earlier!!  I bought mine for a dance, and it was just amazing!! I got one of the new spring shades, Pink Lemonade.   I especially love this color because it's one of those lipsticks where it's the same color as my normal lips, but somehow it's better.  It has some sparkle to it, and it's just a very pretty pink!! And I love how it doesn't dry out your lips!! Even though it's a lip butter, I thought it would be more on the lipstick side, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it didn't dry out my lips!! So far, I am loving my Revlon Lip Butter, and I think that I will get another!!  Hope that y'all have a nice day!!

What's in my purse, or more like my writing bag!!

Okay, so I just got a new bag from Target!  I never had actually looked around at the bags in Target before, but I heard that stilababe09 on Youtube gets all of her bags from Target, and her bags are super cute!!  So I decided to check them out!  Well I got the cutest leather bag ever!!  It is like the perfect size for me, and it's a crossbody with long straps (which just happens to be exactly what I wanted!)  It comes in a bunch of different colors, I saw a periwinkle colored one, a coral-y one, a yellow one, and a canvas-y colored one!  I got the canvas-y colored one, because I figured that it would match a lot of my outfits.  And a plus side is that the bag is scary soft!!!  If y'all want to check it out, I'll put a link for the bag at the bottom of this post!!

Okay, so back on topic.  Sorry for getting kinda lost there, but I am seriously obsessed with this bag!  So anyways, since I got a snazzy new bag, I figured that it would be fun to do a "what's in my purse" thingy.  But be forewarned, since I'm a writer, I kinda got a lot of writery things...  But hopefully y'all will like it anyways!!

1.  Three Notebooks

One of my notebooks is bigger, and the other two are pocket size.  The big one is from Target and the other two are from Staples, because Staples is amazing.  None of them are Moleskines, but I have heard so many writers talk about how amazing Moleskine journals are.  I have never tried any of them, mainly because they don't have any cute designs, but if I try them out, I'll let y'all know what I think about them!!  But if you're a writer, you probably already carry around notebook after notebook around with you.  If you don't, you should!!  All the time I get ideas out of the middle of nowhere, and I just have to write them down!!  And that's when a notebook comes in handy!!!  You never know when genius will strike (and with me, it ain't that often...), so you gotta make sure that you get that idea down!

2. Two Pads Of Post-It Notes

I mainly have these so that I can doodle...  I kinda get bored easily....

3.  My Wallet!!

Well, it's kind of self- explanatory as to why I have this in my purse...  But just in case it isn't, I am addicted to fro-yo (woah guys, I'm so hip, using the slang term for frozen yogurt!!), and you never know when you will come across a fro-yo place.

4.  Five Lip Products...  Yikes!

I did not realize that I had so many lip glosses in my purse!  Ha ha, but I guess that I just have those because I like stuff on my lips!!  And just in case I meet the occasional smoking hot guys...  ;)

5. Four Pens

Just to write down my crazy awesome ideas!!

6. An Eraser

I have no idea why I have an eraser if all I have is pens...  I guess that I'm just crazy like that!!

7. A Flash Drive

It has the book that I'm currently writing on it, because I think that if I let it out of my sight it will be lost forever!  And now y'all see how crazy I really am!!!  But it's in my favorite color (navy blue), so I don't mind carrying around that thing since it's so gosh darn cute!!

8. My Phone

Just in case I get kidnapped and I need to call the police, or something like that!

9. A Pair of Headphones

Because I like to listen to Hunter Hayes every chance I get!!  In case y'all haven't heard him, he is amazing!!  And he's is very attractive...  But he is a country singer,  so if that's not your kind of thing, no problem!!

Well that was all that's in my purse!!!  Hope y'all got some cool ideas as to what you want to keep in your purse!  See y'all later!!

Some Title For My Story

Hey guys!  Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while, but school has kinda taken over my life.  Like seriously, whoever invented homework did it just to ruin my life.  But either way, I can finally write a post!!!  Oh, and I just wanted to apologize for my last post on oil pastels or whatever, I guess that I was just feeling artsy that day or something!  But I now realize how much that post sucked, and I have decided that I'm not going to post any more artsy things to same myself from the humiliation...  But if you guys actually do want do want some art posts, just comment below!  So anyways I decided that I was going to post one of my stories here for y'all!  Hopefully you guys think that I'm at least mediocre, because writing is one of my passions!  So anyways, here is one of my stories!  And by the way, I have not yet come up with a good title for this story, so if you can think of one just post it in a comment below!

Some Title For My Story

I don't really understand why I love him.  He's so irritating, I feel like I want to punch him and kiss him at the same time.  Zach see right through me, reads me like a book.  With him, I have no walls up, I'm vulnerable.  And he know's that.
He preys on weaknesses and tries to tear me down.  But what he doesn't realize is that with him, I feel strong.  When he knocks me down and I come back swinging, I'm strong.  I may be vulnerable, but I've got nothing to hide anymore.  That's a strength that Zach doesn't have.
He has walls of secrets built up around him, protecting him from the world.  Sometimes, when he looks at me with those blue eyes, I can see him without the walls.  Other times, I just want to tear down the walls, one by one, until I get to him.  It's like he's drowning in a sea of secrets, and all I can think about doing is saving him.  He didn't used to be like this, there has got to be some way to get the old Zach back.
He used to look at me, with that goofy smile of his and I would just melt.  He felt safe, like I could have my guard down and he'd protect me.  That was the old Zach.  But sometimes I think that I like the new Zach better.
With the old Zach, I could be weak and it wouldn't matter.  But with the new Zach, I'm never protected.  You could think of that as weak, or you can think that you're going to be that much stronger when you win.
Some people say that I shouldn't be with him.  That he'll break my heart.  Sometimes I think that I should break his heart instead, to show that I'm stronger than he'll ever be.  But that wouldn't work.  What Zach fools the girls with- what he fooled me with- is that we think his heart is just buried down deep.  That we can still save him.  But that wouldn't work.  I can't break his heart, and nobody can save him anymore.  Because Zach doesn't have a heart, he hasn't for a while.
I take fistfulls of his shirt, and kiss him hard.  He presses up against me, closing up the gap between us.  The pressure of his mouth on mine sparks up a flame.  Kissing him is like a drug, it's almost to impossible to quit.
Loving him isn't easy.  It's a push and a pull, a rush of adrenaline.  An ache because I love him so much it hurts.  Loving Zach is like jumping off a cliff, you know that in the end you're going to be laying there, broken.  But the rush of energy on the way, it's golden.  I know that he'll break my heart.  But until then, I'll run with the rush, jump off the cliff, and love him so much it hurts.  That's what Zach does to me.

A Beginner's Manual to Oil Pastels

Hey guys!  So I really love art, and I think that I will be starting to post a lot more art projects and stuff like that.  So to kick that off, this is a little beginner's post on oil pastels.  Now I don't know about y'all, but I love pastels.  They are so easy to use and if  you mess up, just smudge it and you can make your mistake look pretty cool.  Plus they're colorful!!!

So for pastels I usually get mine from the thrift store or from yard sales.  Oil pastels are the one thing that I use a lot of, and I actually really like just getting used sets because they're cheaper.  So these two sets of oil pastels are ones that I've gotten from the thrift store, and they're both pretty good.  If you don't feel comfortable getting pastels from the thrift store, then I recommend both of these sets of oil pastels.

I don't know if y'all can see this, but these are
Guitar Oil Pastels.  If I could recommend one type
of oil pastels, above all, to recommend to you
guys, this would be it.  They come in very vibrant
colors although I guess that you can't see that very
well in the picture.  The only thing is that there is
not as many colors in the set as the other oil pastel
sets I have.  But if you don't mind that, then these
oil pastels are for you!  I don't think that you can
buy these at a craft store, like Michael's, because
they are from Japan, but people are selling them all
over Ebay.

Okay, now I also really love this set of oil pastels.  They smudge very easily, but they do not have paper wrapping around them, so they will get your hands all nice and colorful.  Also, these oil pastels break very easily, which is why all of my oil pastels are split in half.  And yet I even have the Prismacolor hard pastels...  I actually think that they break more easily than the rest of my pastels.  But if you don't really care about that, but you do like an oil pastel that can smudge easily, like me, then this set of oil pastels is for you!  You can by these oil pastels here:

Now for paper...  I really like this paper fort oil pastels, but it is actually just a regular drawing pad.
It is the Cà Grain Dessin Papier by Canson.  It is a French product, so you'll have to buy it online.  You can buy it here:

Now these are some new products for pastels that I have not yet been able to try out.  But they are from my Aunt who is an art major, so they must be really good oil pastels.  They are the Pro Art Jumbo Oil Pastels and the Strathmore Pastel paper.  You can buy them both off of amazon.com

Now lastly I have a hairspray.  When you use oil pastels, you need something to spray on your work of art to make sure that it doesn't smudge.  You can buy this really expensive setting spray, but hairspray works just as well, and it's a lot cheaper!  I just got the Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Hairspray.

I hope that this helps, and that y'all have fun with your oil pastels!  Please send me a picture of what you make!  Bye!

High School Drama

Hey guys!  So currently everyone is just freaking out, because everything that happens this year will affect next year and our freshman experience.  Since I live in Montgomery County (the number one county in the U.S!), we have tons of high schools near us.  I had the option of seven high schools.  And apparently that's great, more options, you can find the best high school for you.  But I think that it's just stressful...  I applied to an IB (International Baccalaureate) program, and a Communication Arts Program.  And I didn't get into either of them.  So once I found out I basically rolled up into a ball and cried my heart out.  And I was so depressed that the schools said that I wasn't smart enough to go there, when other kids where told that they were smart enough to get in.  I kept thinking that they sent me the wrong letter, I mean how could they not want me, I'm amazing!  But either way, I guess that I won't be going to those schools.  So I have to go to the little school that has no specialty programs.  So since I'm trying to look on the bright side of all of this, this high school has the best music program, by far and maybe my amazing alto sax skills can land me a spot in their award winning bands.  So I was going to the audition and the band director said that I could be in their symphonic band and their jazz band, without even auditioning! Apparently he has a lot of faith in my musical skills. I will be in two of the best bands in the county next year. So the worst isn't looking so bad right now. So just remember that the worst isn't going to end up that bad in the end. And wish me luck because while everything's working out great right now, I will be starting next year as a band geek. Hopefully that will work out... See y'all later!

Book Review: Divergent!

I can not tell you guys how much I loved this book. If you like Twilight or The Hunger Games, you will definitely love this book. This book takes place in a dystopian world. The main character, Beatrice or Tris, is 16 years old and it's time for her to find out where she belongs. Since she's just 16, of course there's a ton of romance, which is my favorite part... I mean, I am seriously in love with the guy that she falls for. He's fearless, he's strong, he must be hot, and everything that he says throughout the book just makes my heart melt. I really recommend this book, especially if you liked the Hunger Games, because Divergent has the same theme.
